Mental health

We provide trauma-informed counselling through a feminist self-empowerment model. This is a free service.

Our qualified and experienced counsellors offer individual appointments. We offer both in person face-to-face as well as telephone counselling. We also operate an off-site safe room from which counselling can be provided.

The Centre has a lengthy waitlist for our counselling services due to limited funding and extremely high demand. We offer both ongoing and short-term counselling, depending on client needs. Due to this combination of factors, it can be difficult to predict how long the wait will be to see one of our counsellors. Contact us to register your interest.

After intital contact to request counselling, our intake officer will contact via phone in approximately one to two weeks. She will have a chat over the phone so that we know a little more about you and what support you currently need. Our intake officer can also provide information and recommend other more immediate supports. Once a place becomes available, we will contact you to arrange a time for you to see a counsellor.

We also offer therapeutic groups, visit our What’s on page to view our current offerings.
