Looking after yourself at Christmas!

The Christmas season is meant to be a time of joy, but for many people it can be a time of stress, anxiety, disappointment or loneliness. Christmas comes with high expectations of perfect, happy families enjoying luxurious celebrations and gifts, but not all of us are able to live up to these ideals. However, many people experience feelings of isolation,

financial pressures or increased family conflict that can make this a very stressful time of year.

If you need to talk to someone here are a few numbers that are free to call:

Domestic Violence Line: if you are currently experiencing domestic and family violence, call for support including AVOs and help with finding accommodation: 1800 67 14 42 (24/7)

Rape & Domestic Violence Services Australia 24/7 telephone and online crisis counselling for anyone – women and men – in Australia who has experienced or is at risk of sexual
